Norman Monaghan

Norman Monaghan was born on the 26th of June 1943 in a little village; Port Clarence. He was the youngest of two children, Jim being the oldest but Norman always protected and was there for his older brother. He was a talented and dedicated footballer from an early age, he was captain of his school football team and later became a football manager of the local team, after leaving school he became a welder in Shipyards, he had many many friends because he was such a lovely person he was a true gent. Norman met Margaret at the 'Port Hop' he asked her for a dance and they eventually fell in love and got married and shared 44 years of their life's together. They had 4 children Peter, Debbie, Andrew and Karen, Norman had 10 grand children who he adored, Shannon, Ryan, Megan, Abbie, Liam, Lewis, Ellie, Lauren, Tyler and Aaron, he was a fantastic Grandad to them all, and never put himself first, he did his best to make those around him happy.
